Katherine became interested in narrative Illustration and children's books while studying Visual Communication at university. After graduating, she completed a residency course in the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her drawings have since attracted the attention of independent publisher of Scottish folk-tales, 'Serafina Press'. In 2012 her first children's book was published and she has since completed a second title, published in 2014. She also enjoys drypoint etching, selling products and sketching outdoors, influenced by her love of landscape and traditional British and American Illustrators. She joined the illustration collective, 'Drawn in Bristol', in the summer of 2014. She is currently represented by Ikon Images for licensing work.
